I tried making these with a little bit of marinara sauce inside with the cheese, and they didn't turn out as good. Not as crispy on the outside. The sauce kind of makes the crescent dough a little too soggy. Save the pizza sauce for dunking, and italian dressing is great to dip them in too! I plan to make these again the next time we have family movie night!

I tried them today.... i used shredded cheese instead of the cheese stick (didn't have any). It turned out okay, but I think I may brush the dough with some pizza sauce next time and then add the pepperoni, cheese and seasoning. I also mixed a bit of parsley flakes and pepper and sprinkled it on the top before baking.
