Before You Start Cooking!

If you really like peanuty flavor, use crunchy peanut butter and you'll have your own combination of peanuts and chocolate! That sounds delicious if you ask us.

Fun Fact:

  • Did you know that the two M's on your favorite candy stand for "Mars" and "Murrie"? That's right! Forrest Mars, the maker of M&M's, teamed up with the president of the Hershey's Company at the time William Murrie to start producing these colorful little delights. Mars ended up buying the company back in 1949 for one million dollars! Turns out the letter "M" stands for more than "mmmm", but maybe not when it comes to our Peanut M&M Bars.

Is there any down side to making a double batch of these and putting them in a 9 x 13 pan? I realize the cooking time will change but other than that?

Love chocolate and peanut butter! Going to go make these right now. I don't have any mini M&Ms, but I do have dark chocolate chips. See no reason why they shouldn't work.

no flour?

This is not a mistake, there is no flour in this recipe. Some peanut butter cookie recipes are the same. Makes it very simple, enjoy! Thank you for your question!

You folks won't give up on insisting there needs to be flour in every version of this recipe that is listed, will you????? This is not a new recipe and has been around forever. It is known as a gluten free recipe as some people cannot have the flour. Try it, don't deny yourselves. It is very, very simple, easy to make and delicious. The trick is to leave them on the cookie sheet until they are completely cooled or they fall apart when you make them as cookies instead of bar cookies.
