Everything seems to taste better with bacon in it, and that goes for our delicious pull-apart Bacon Monkey Bread. Whether for breakfast, brunch or a snack, this one will disappear in a flash!

What You'll Need

  • 11 bacon slices, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3 (10-ounce) cans refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

What to Do

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Coat a 12-cup Bundt pan with cooking spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine bacon, Parmesan cheese, and onion; set aside.
  3. Cut each biscuit into quarters. Dip one-third of biscuit pieces into melted butter, and place in prepared Bundt pan. Sprinkle with half of bacon mixture. Repeat layers with remaining biscuit pieces and bacon mixture, ending with biscuit pieces.
  4. Bake 40 minutes, or until golden. Cool in pan 10 minutes; invert onto a serving platter, and serve bread immediately.

Can this recipe be put together night before?

Monkey bread cannot be put together the night before. The dough would rise overnight.

I keep seeing recipes calling for refrigerator biscuits such as your Bacon Monkey Bread. I was wondering if I could use homemade biscuits instead. Please email me at carolriels@charter,net with your answer. Thank you so much and thank you for the great website! Carol

i think the problem may be the pan i am using . my bread comes out much deeper so i probably have a different pan and need more cooking time. the bread is Delicious tho

Hi,I've tried this recipe twice now and the bread comes out there are still sections that aren't cooked need to put back in oven for 10 more mins. i dont know why.

I would prefer ONLY reviews, yes, it sounds yummy, but try it and THEN comment. Stop wasting your time and mine. I use the reviews before I try anything, and always glad to know how others have made changes for improvement or to short cut.

Looks good going to try!

I know its going to be yummy on by way to H.E.B

I want to try this recipe out right now.

Mr. Food "hello again"! Another thank you for (all) the delicious recipes). Everone that I have made from your site has been 'sooooo good'!!! My family still raves about the 'Pepperoni Pie Squares;' can't get enough of that! (Smile) And a suggestion to [faith 2001028] instead of onions, try chopping or mincing some garlic for the 'Bacon Monkey Bread.' Use you imagination ............ thats the way most tasty recipes come about. Hope it turns out good for you. Thanks again "Mr. Food" and I wish you and your staff a wonderful day everyday! Sincerely, Sherry Madison, Ohio

yummm! sounds perfect for after school!

This sounds really yummy, though I think I would make it with the frozen bread dough balls. I like that texture of bread better.
