Our Angel Brownies are angelic in taste and in ease! These homemade chocolate brownies are made with pudding mix, whipping cream, and some other sweet ingredients. The result is a brownie that's fabulous to the last crumb!

What You'll Need

  • 1 (6-serving size) package chocolate instant pudding mix
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • Confectioners' sugar (optional)

What to Do

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Coat an 8-inch square baking dish with cooking spray.

  2. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except confectioners' sugar; stir until well blended. Spoon into baking dish.

  3. Bake 25 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean; let cool. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar, if desired.

Notes

For fun and flavorful variations, pick your favorite pudding flavor. Just use it in place of the chocolate pudding, and proceed as directed.

weird. I used a pre-cut brownie pan and maybe it's too big a pan, but they came out flat and not very brownie like.

Can I sub half-n-half for the whipping cream? A family member can not tolerate anything with carageehan and unfortunately whipping creams has it. As long as a recipe does not require the cream to actually be whipped, would half-n-half work in most recipes? Absolutely cannot use Cool Whip either. Thank you, Mr. Food test kitchen

Hello! Yes, you can substitute half-and-half for the whipping cream in this recipe. Enjoy!

I LOVE this recipe. It's a little different than normal brownies, due to the pudding mix and whipped cream- but that's why I like them. They aren't cakey brownies, and have more have a gooey light consistency - kinda like thick, set up pudding with a bit of cake. Walnuts are perfect with this recipe. If you like a rich chocolaty flavor, I'd add some chocolate chips.

gotta be good..

I will try this , sounds good!

Very easy to make and delicious, but definitely NOT a brownie.

O.k. I finally made these myself...my review is "thumbs down". They were gooey and dense with out a good chocolate flavor. I would buy a box mix ...more flavor.

I wonder if adding a little cocoa powder or dark chips would perk it up for those who really love a chocolatey taste. Was there anything special about these, like were they extra light and puffy? Maybe a good treat, but not what one would call a brownie?

Tdzm, maybe the chips would help...I don't think so.. On to another recipe> S Foote.

If your review is a thumbs down then why did you give it five stars???

jtmama....how were the brownies? please tell.

come on...somebody make this and give me a review.

It's pretty funny that I just saw this. The brownies are in the oven as I type. I'll be back to let you know the outcome.

THIS SOUNDS SO DELICIOUS!!! I CAN'T WAIT TO MAKE IT! [that includes suprising my mom!]
