  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

What to Do

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Coat a 9- x 13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.

  2. In a large bowl, prepare brownie mix according to package directions. Pour into prepared baking dish. In a medium bowl, combine corn syrup, butter, vanilla, brown sugar, and pecans; mix well. Drop the pecan mixture by spoonfuls into the batter.

I haven't tried them yet but they sound wonderful. I will line my pan with non-stick foil. If you haven't tried non-stick foil you don't know what your missing.

These tasted good but we're a nightmare getting out of the pan even though I used cooking spray and baked in a glass dish. It was as if all the corn syrup cooked to the outer edge of the pan. I will not be making these again.

Oh no! We're sorry to hear you had trouble getting these out of the pan. If you'd like to give these another try, we recommend lightly flouring the pan after you've sprayed it.

this was easy to make and everyone loved them. I WILL make again

i made these brownies and they were very good but i had a hard time getting them out of the dish they stuck to the side so can some one tell me what i did wrong

Try coating dish with non-stick cooking spray (like Pam.) If that did not work, try a baking spray with flour (like Baker's Joy.) I hope this helps.

These are very delicious. The best thing I have ever used to keep anything from sticking when baked, is 'Cake Release' by Wilton.

I also had a hard time getting these out of the pan but they were sooo good :-) I will be making them again. I plan on using parchment paper next time I cook them. I am hopping this will take care of the sticking problem

djhixson: Thanks for catching that! Looks like the pecan pie filling and brownie mix containers were swapped. The recipe is correct now. Thank you for cooking with Mr. Food!

where do you get a package pecan filling and a can of brownie mix??? I live in the south and we have boxes of brownie mix, never seen a can of mix, also never seen a package pecan filling.someone help the recipe sounds good.

Just use a box of brownie mix. You can get a box of brownix mix at the dollar store. The pecan filling is mixture is when you mix the pecans, brown sugar, corn syrup and butter together in a bowl. That is the pecan filling filling mixture. Hope this helps.
