- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup low-fat sour cream
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
What to Do
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Coat an 8-inch square baking dish with cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, combine all ingredients; mix with an electric beater until smooth and thoroughly combined. Pour batter into prepared baking dish.
- Bake 30 to 35 minutes, or until a wooden toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
If you'd like, when the cake is cool, top it with a sprinkle of confectioners' sugar or a mixture of ground cinnamon and granulated sugar.
