I really liked this recipe. It's definitely a dense cake, so if you're not into that, this probably isn't the cake for you. Myself, on the other hand, I really liked the dense peanut butter cake and the two layers of frosting! It pairs perfectly with a glass of cold milk.

This Gemini thinks it was awful.

I was nervous about making this since it has no leavening so I followed the recipe very carefully. I tested it with a came out clean so I removed the cake after 30 minutes. The "cake" was so sticky and sweet, the word cake is a doesn't resemble cake at all. I did spread on the marshmallow cream, and the icing (which is very good). It's just too sweet and sticky for me......maybe the others who eat it will like it, as it's for dinner tonight. I don't think I'll make it again.

Is this cake rather dense? I don't see any leavening in the ingredients.

Hello - Yes, this is a denser cake (and a very delicious one!). Enjoy!

I never really liked fluffer nutter sandwiches but this cake recipe is DELICIOUS. I recommend it to anyone looking for a not so ordinary cake.

Reminds me of a cake my grandma used to make. Tasty!
