Good and easy! Will probably add Ranch Mix, Italian Seasoning Mix or Taco Mix to the hamburger next time to give it a little more flavor.

This sounds like something my mother used to make when I was little. She used a dutch oven on the stove top, can anyone help me find that recipe? I have no oven yet -(

I made something similar. Used cream of mushroom soup and a tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce for a little added kick.

Love it. It's simple and easy, and of course I'm a big tater tot fan:)

I agree the nutritional information would be very helpful That being said I can usually tell by reading the ingredients in a recipe if that's something I'd eat or serve to my family If a recipe contains more than one can of a 'creamed' soup and or more than one cup of cheese - it's a no-no for me A lot of veggies are usually what I strive for I also try to top most casseroles with a mixture of seasoned bread crumbs mixed with the dry parmesan cheese yes the one from a plastic jar instead of using globs of shredded cheese from a bag A few minor adjustments usually make for a 'healthier' version of most casseroles such as using 'lite' versions of creamed soups sour cream and cottage cheese After doing this a few times it actually becomes 'second nature' and you'll be serving much healthier meals toRead More your family

Love this recipe!! Sure beats the regular tater tot casserole.

At the senior center we serve the same thing called Tater Tot casserole. Very popular. I make it similar using and extra 1/2 pound of beef. Feeds four fine. I'm a big eater. Also us Mushroom soup rather than chicken

It would be so helpful to diabetics to have the nutritional information along with the recipes. Enjoy your site and recipes. Thanks so much.

Could you please put the nutritional information on the recipes? If not, why not? This is really important to me because I have to watch our weight carefully. Things look delicious but also very heavy on the calories. Thanks for your consideration in this matter.

Go to diabetic section at top of this page for nutritional information THANK YOU

This recipe makes it very easy to use an oven proof pan. Once you've cooked and drained the beef, keep it in the same pan, add the rest of the ingredients and place in oven. Saves you a casserole dish to clean. Just make sure your frying pan is oven proof.

This is a very good and e-z dish to make. The (defrosted) frozen veggies I use are 1 bag peas plus 1 bag corn...& the tater tots are so easy to add to many dishes.

This sounds perfect for a cold, rainy Saturday dinner!

I just made this recipe but was worried I wouldn't have enough to feed everyone. We have taken in a family for awhile, so I decided to cook some egg noodles and add it to make it stretch out for more servings. IT TASTED GREAT!!!! Egg Noodles to the rescue once again hahahaha

Hmmmm....noodles and potatoes...can you say 'pirogi'? Sounds like a winner! Love that combination!

This is a version of the old 'Tater Tots Casserole' I've done for years. In that version, it is done in a 9 x 13 pan and the hamburger is crumbled in raw, no veggies, and can use Cream of Mushroom soup...it is soooo good...like this version, too. Will have to try it.

i had a lot of fun with this basic recipe - added black beans and diced tomatoes with the mixed veges. i didn't have any potato nuggets/tater tots so i just shredded my own potatoes and baked it all together. Turned out great - crowd pleaser

This recipe sound yummy..I enjoy recipes that take less time, quick and easy... Oh by the way what are potato nuggets? Thanks for sharing your recipes with me :)

The potato nuggets are like "Tater Tots" which you find in the frozen food section.

sounds delious, you probbaly could mix different kinds of cheese in it

I fixed the easy beefy casserole this evening, and it was wonderful.I used a can of mixed vegetables, though, and added it to the hamburger after itwas cooked.I didn't have any shredded cheese so i used velveeta, and cut it up in small pieces.I also used seasoned hashbrowns instead of potato nuggets. It baked well, and my husband LOVED IT,and so did I,and I will definitely make it again.Thanks.

this was easy to fix but they should have told to mix all together and the frozen veggies never did cook up very good,it was not the best I have ever ate and not a big hit for dinner, will not fix again!
