Poppy Seed Chicken Casserole

Here's one of our all-time favorite casseroles! It's as simple as can be, but it's oh-so-fancy tasting. Serve it with a tossed salad, and you've got dinner in a flash!

What You'll Need

  • 3 cups chopped cooked chicken
  • 1 (10-3/4-ounce) can cream of chicken soup, undiluted
  • 1 (8-ounce) carton sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 1 1/2 cups crushed round buttery crackers (40 crackers)
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

What to Do

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Combine first 4 ingredients; spoon into a lightly greased 7- x 11-inch baking dish.
  2. Combine crushed crackers and butter, and sprinkle over chicken mixture. Bake, uncovered, 30 minutes.

This recipe sounds great. I like the idea of poppy seed mixed in, I'd like to see more recipes with some poppy seed. I will definitely give this one a try. Thanks Mr. Food.

This is a great, simple dish. I make a boxed dressing sometimes, and put it all around the sides of the dish, and leave the center uncovered. Then I bake it. Looks fancy and tastes heavenly! Thanks for the post Mr. Food.

I aim to make this tonight and will definitely add a frozen veggie, probably peas otherwise I'd feel guilty. Casseroles should have a vegetable built it easy-peasey one-dish meal!!

This couldn't be a yea sure to make, and is so good! Creamy comfort food. I often use crushed saltines. This is one of those mistake proof recipes! Love it :-) Low fat sour cream is very good in this recipe...still get the rich taste

my family really enjoys this dish. The one thing we do differently is add broccoli to the bottom of this dish. It is very yummy!!
