This isn't much different from the hot cider we grew up on in the chilly Northeast. Guess that proves that it's an all-American drink!
What You'll Need
- 1 gallon apple cider
- 1 orange, sliced
- 1/2 cup firmly-packed light brown sugar
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 3 teaspoons whole cloves
What to Do
- In a large pot, bring all ingredients to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer 10 minutes. Serve hot. Makes about 1 gallon.
Notes
This is great made in and served from a slow cooker. Not only does it stay hot and ready to serve, but it also fills the house with a great aroma.
