You only need three ingredients to make a basic glaze! What a great option for those times when you're in a rush and you want to impress company with a decorated dessert!

How to Make Glaze

Simple White GlazeIn a bowl, mix together 1 cup of powdered sugar (confectioner's sugar), 1-1/2 teaspoons of milk (or half-and-half), and a touch of vanilla.

Clear Glaze: Instead of milk, use water!

Flavored Glaze: Add a pop of flavor by substituting lemon juice or orange juice in place of the milk.

Test Kitchen Tip: It's always better to put a little less liquid to start, and add more if needed. You can always add more, but you can't take out!

Once you've got your glaze ready, just pour it into a plastic baggie, seal it tight, and trim one of the corners. Now, you can easily pipe your glaze onto anything!
