Since there are only a few simple ingredients in this dip, I would definitely use the best vanilla extract that I can get my hands on - never that cheap imitation stuff, which doesn't even have any real vanilla in it! This is a great standard dip by itself, but you could add in whatever suits your tastes! I've made a pink version before for a baby shower using a little raspberry puree, and folded in some mini dark chocolate chips another time. It is always a big hit at a party!

I have used a different recipe for years that I like better than this one. It's 8 oz whipped cream cheese, regular size jar of marshmallow cream and 1 tsp of vanilla extract. I can mix it by hand also and somebody always asks me for the recipe.

Dancing Debi - I've made this for years, but without the vanilla - and always said that if Heaven had a flavor, this would be it!

Great! I don't want to have to log in to go to my recipe box!
