Southern Style Spaghetti Salad

(5 Votes)
15 Min

Here's a pasta salad that makes great use of an all-time favorite - spaghetti. And if you can, try not to gobble up all those yummy olives before you add them to the dish!

What You'll Need

  • 1 pound spaghetti, broken in half
  • 2 cups (8 ounces) shredded Colby-Jack cheese
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 (5-ounce) jar sliced Spanish olives, drained
  • 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

What to Do

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package directions; drain.
  2. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine remaining ingredients; mix well.
  3. Add hot spaghetti and toss until well mixed. Serve warm.

Leftovers also make a great chilled salad.

Found this very good!!!

Please remember that recipes are a guide-line before you blast me for turning this into a 5 star winner. I use a large can of sliced black olives, two handfuls of shredded cheddar cheese, two bunches of green onions, four slices of red onion (chopped fine), and either a package of Ranch salad dressing mix or Italian dressing mix (depending on the taste I'm in the mood for). After I drain the spaghetti, I mix in the dressing while it's hot, then I put the pan back in the oven on 200deg. for 30 min. to let all the flavors come together and melt the cheese into it. If it wasn't for finding this recipe from Mr. Food.....I would have never know such a wonderful recipe. All my friends at work love it!! And so do I!! We eat it cold, it's SOOO GOOD!!

This sounds really good. So you leave out the mayonaise completely?

So you rated YOUR recipe 4 stars! NICE

Interesting. I need to try it now!

Sure sounds good to me,im kind of sick of the old reliable ones.Ive tasted the ones from a deli but you control the amount of everything.
