CHILL TIME

This silky smooth, chilled dessert pie is so easy to make, anybody can whip it up. Our no-bake Sour Cream Pie has a mild flavor and a creamy texture, so it pairs perfectly with fresh berries and a little chocolate drizzle.

What You'll Need

  • 1 cup (1/2 pint) sour cream
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 prepared 9-inch graham cracker pie crust

What to Do

  1. In a large bowl, combine sour cream, cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract; mix well.

  2. Fold in whipped topping, then pour mixture into pie crust.

  3. Chill at least 6 hours before serving.

Notes

Use your own homemade pie crust or buy one already prepared, whichever you prefer.

How much lemon extract would you add?

So easy and very very good! Love the light and fluffy texture. The idea in an earlier comment about adding lemon extract & lemon zest is great - will try that next time. Thanks!

Do you think cherry extract would work? Or would it go against the sour cream flavor? Got cherry extract brought to me from the states but cant get my hands on any cherry chips (Mexico). Need to use the extract in something!!

This was one of the easiest recipes, I have ever made. It was wonderful. I think it was much better, the second day. 2 hours was not enough, to have it set in the refrigerator. It was so very good!

I've made this nice light airy pie twice using all low fat/non fat ingredients. The second time I used Lemon Extract, and would have used lemon zest if I would have had a lemon.

Could you add raisins?

Absolutely! We would suggest adding about a 1/2 cup of raisins. Then you can adjust it to a little more or less depending on your taste. Enjoy!

Wow! Now I want to make it a rum raisin pie which is my favorite pie....just add rum extract and raisins.

This was an easy recipe and tasted great. I made this for a church dinner and it was gone in a matter of minutes. Everyone raved about it. The texture was great. Just a perfect pie. Thank you for a great recipe.
