This dish features juicy pork chops and plenty of potatoes, all cooked in your favorite barbecue sauce. It's a win no matter how you look at it!

What You'll Need

  • 4 (1-inch thick) bone-in pork chops
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 5 potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups barbecue sauce

What to Do

  1. Sprinkle pork chops evenly with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet over high heat, heat oil until hot; saute pork chops 4 to 5 minutes, or until browned on both sides.

Made it. Today and it was very good. I added a sliced green bell pepper and deglazed the fry pan with 1/2 cop white wine and added it to the crock pot.

It looks like I have the pleasure to be the first to rate and review this recipe. It's easy and delicious! The best thing about it is that it uses simple ingredients to create a hearty, flavorful meal. I had two large pork steaks that I cut in half to fit my crockpot, and a half dozen medium russet potatoes. I lightly sprinkled the potato/onion layer with garlic powder and pepper besides seasoning the meat. I cooked it 5-1/2 hours on high, and everything came out nice and tender. This recipe is definitely going into my favorites file!
