Very simple and good! Perfect for hotdogs! I will add a little Cholula's hot sauce next time to spice it up a bit for us, but for a crowd it's perfect!

This looks like something I'd find on a Chicago-style hot dog. Love it!

Marycmclean I like your upgrades! Slow cooking it in a Crock-Pot will really bring out the flavors. With Memorial Day coming up, this is just what I need for a cookout.

Thought this was very good. Not as good as Michigan sauce from NY, but yum just the same! Did pick the spice up a notch, as we like our food a bit spicy. Thanks!

Can't believe Imshynomore mentioned Michigan sauce!! I've been trying to duplicate Clair and Carl's or Nitzi's Michigan sauce for years. Guess I'll have to try this recipe.

I know what you mean, but just increase the Cumin, Worstershire Sauce, and Chilli Powder a bit. Also, use VERY STRONG black coffee instead of just plain water. I added a couple of crushed garlic cloves to it and it was terrific! You can also add a tsp. of brown sugar if you wish. I used ground turkey meat in this dish and it came out deliciously. A little bit of fresh parsley wouldn't hurt.
