Does this dressing keep or need to be used immediately?

Hi Rosie! - This dressing will keep for up to 2 weeks in your refrigerator. Just reheat to warm up when you're ready to eat again. :) Enjoy!

How can you end up with 1 3/4 cup dressing when you only use 1/2 cup apple cinder vinegar?

Hello Diane! The other ingredients in the recipe, including the pound of bacon, add volume to this dressing. Enjoy!

The bacon drippings should be left in the dressing. This serves as the oil you may typically see in a vinaigrette. Thanks for cooking with us!

Do youn drain the fat from the bacon drippings or leave them in?

This is basically the same recipe I use for several German recipes with the exception that I whisk 1 beaten egg into the mixture in the pan n cook till thickened.

should you drain the bacon grease before adding the rest of the ingredients or leave it in the pan?

Cant wait to try it over warm tatos...reminds me of a taste of german tato salad...yummy
