Sausage Stuffed Peppers make a rich, savory main course. They're filling enough to eat all by themselves!

What You'll Need

  • 1 pound bulk sausage
  • 1/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 or 5 cubanelle peppers, tops and core removed

What to Do

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. In a large bowl, combine sausage, bread crumbs, and Parmesan cheese; mix well. Stuff equally into peppers and place on a baking sheet.

  3. Bake 22 to 25 minutes, or until no pink remains in sausage.

  4. Preheat the grill to medium heat. Finish cooking peppers on the grill for 3 to 4 minutes per side.

these recipes should include nutritional information.

We expect to have nutritional information for our recipes sometime in 2012; we are currently working on the technology to make that happen. In the interim, some of our recipes do have nutritional information analyzed by the American Diabetes Association. You can easily find those with nutritional analysis here: http://www.mrfood.com/?task=search&search_term=diabetic --Mr. Food Editor

The sausage stuffed bell peppers need to cook for at least one hour at 350* for baseball size peppers. Happy eating. Hillbilly Hill They were Soooo Good !!

Why?

Because the sausage wont get done in 25 mins.

The bell peppers are considerably larger than the cubanelles, so take more stuffing, thus longer cooking time.
