  2. In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients; mix well. Pour into prepared baking dish.

I thought that this corn dish would really be tasty, especially with the sour cream. I'm crazy about corn bread and cream-style corn, as well. But, was it ever bland city! All I could taste was the corn bread mix. I've poured a stick of melted margarine over it and put it back in to bake again, to see if it has any taste. But, I have my doubts.

ive made this numerous times its easy and delish !

Took the advice of an earlier post and drained the corn and cooked it a wee bit longer. Came out so good and was eaten up by three people the same evening! Thanks Mr Food staff!

You're welcome! We're so glad to hear that everyone loved this recipe! :)

Very good and easy make. My family loves it.

I have been making this for years..except my recipe is called Damn Good Corn (seriously). I drain the corn and add 1/4 cup milk- bake for at least an hour, or until the center doesn't jiggle anymore.

This is very similar to one I make. Just add a can of chopped green chilies for a little kick.

VERY easy to make, this one is delicious! Taste and texture are both excellent. My bride went nuts for this and now I must have the common, inexpensive ingredients on hand at all times! Thanks, Mr. Food! It IS SOOO GOOOD.

Forgot to add: by all means do drain the corn!

Make one very much like this one and is greaaate! Only thing I do different is add 1/2 cup of splenda sugar substitute.Or you could add 1/2 cup of sugar as the original recipe called for. Either way is just as good only the one is fewer calories.

too gooey for me. will try some of the ideas given here.

I make it according to the recipe. My one grandson always waits after dinner to see if there is any left over and usually polishes that off. The only thing I do differently is the baking time, which could be my oven. I bake it until it is just starting to get golden, about an hour. To grannyblu, maybe you didn't bake it long enough. Mine is never gooey but not at all like stuffing.

I like to use 4 ozs. selfrise flour and 4 ozs. selfrise cornmeal in stead of package mix. I also like to add chopped onion and bacon. Ruby

Absolutely drain the corn. I also always add 1 cup of sharp cheddar cheese shredded. It is never soupy this way.

If you drain the corn, add a 1/2 c melted butter. You need liquid for the corn bread mix. Top with grated cheese & it's the same as Paula Deen's Corn Casserole, one of my family's fave side dishes!

This one my fav cornbread recipes. I like add to Rotel(Hot 4 me) or mild depending yr guests, also dice a half of japoleno in case the Rotel isn't hot enough. This's 4 harden Texicans!!! Add cheese, yr fav!!!!

I've made something similar many times, ALWAYS drain the corn, use 2 cans of cr corn and add 1 -2 cups of shredded swiss cheese. Note: can substitute gluten free cornbread mix for those on GF diets, and it is still quite yummy

My sister makes this for thanksgiving and other special occasions (yummy)

Tasted sweet... must be from the corn muffin mix and ... it was also gooey not like a good stuffing or cornbread

I have made this recipe for years and we call it Corn Casserole. However, we drain the whole kernel corn and add about 1/2 stick of melted butter and add cheese and once it is cooked top with cheese. I would think it would be soupy with the juice from the whole kernel corn.

I found it too gooey. I think I'll make it again using only the canned corn, a can of chopped green chilis, and maybe some diced celery.

I would drain the corn and maybe use 2 cans instead of the cream corn and definitely add some peppers unless there a re kids around that don't like hot stuff. I add jalopenas in almost everything I bake. Especially cornbread.

Is this served like cornbread and would it compliment soup?

I've always seen it served as a separate vegetable dish, like cornbread stuffing, but definitely not like cornbread.

Soooo good! I followed the directions and it was a big hit at Thanksgiving! Will make again and again and not just for holidays!

drain the corn...and mix in a cup of tasty salsa!!! ITS SOOOO GOOD!

It was soooooo good!! Instead of sour cream, I used a fiesta salsa sour cream dip. Tasted just like a tamale.. Mmmm!!!!

add diced onions and green chilis to spice it up a bit Grrreat!!

add squeeky cheddar cubes!!!!yummy
