What You'll Need

  • 1 (4- to 5-pound) beef brisket
  • 1/4 cup chili sauce
  • 1/2 cup beer
  • 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar

What to Do

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Coat a large roasting pan with cooking spray and place brisket fat-side up in pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine chili sauce, beer, and brown sugar. Pour evenly over brisket then cover with aluminum foil.
  3. Bake 3 to 3-1/2 hours, or until brisket is fork-tender. Slice thinly across the grain and serve with sauce from pan.

Can this be made in a slo-cooker?

This can absolutely be made in a slow cooker. It'll take about 8-9 hours on LOW. Enjoy!

why don't you give the calorie count, sugar, sodium, chol.,fat, etc on your recipes. there are a lot of people, myself included, that are wary to try things if they don't know them. there are so many people on diet restrictions, also.

Is this a corned beef brisket?

Sounds great

can you use water in place of the beer ?

Rather than water, we would suggest beef broth. Water will not add any flavor. Enjoy!

onions go with beef roast, pork roast like chunks of cerley, pototes, carrots and even mushrooms.

I am definatley adding onions.

No onion? does it change it too much? Any one got tips?
