So rich and nutty, you'll love taking the credit for these. With a hint of vanilla and a whole lot of chocolate, these homemade candies will leave you speechless. Its warm, rich flavor will make you think you're stepping into an old-time candy shop and picking out a freshly-made treat.

What You'll Need

  • 2 (1-ounce each) squares unsweetened baking chocolate
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

What to Do

  1. In the top of a double boiler, heat chocolate and sweetened condensed milk until chocolate melts. Using an electric mixer, beat until mixture thickens. Add vanilla and stir well. Allow to cool long enough so that mixture can be handled.
  2. Drop by teaspoonfuls into a bowl of chopped pecans. Form into 1-inch balls and place on a cookie sheet that has been lined with waxed paper.
  3. Chill in refrigerator until firm.

Make sure the chocolate mixture is cool enough to handle, but not too firm.
