- PREP
- 10 Min
- CHILL TIME

You're probably wondering, "How do you make fudge in the microwave? Is it any good?" This Microwave Chocolate Fudge is so simple and delicious! No candy thermometer needed!
What You'll Need
- 3 cups milk chocolate chips
- 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 cup butter, cut into pieces
What to Do
- Combine all ingredients in a microwave-safe 2-quart glass bowl. Microwave chocolate mixture at MEDIUM (50 percent power) 5 minutes, stirring at 1-1/2-minute intervals. Pour into a greased 8-inch square dish. Cover and chill 8 hours; cut into 1-1/2-inch squares. Store in refrigerator.
Notes
No candy thermometer needed for this fudge, just your microwave and fridge! We recommend chilling the fudge about 8 hours so it can firm up nicely before you cut into it.

You can buy milk chocolate chips anywhere you can find chocolate chips of any flavor, check the packages. As for using cocoa powder in place of the chocolate chips, I wouldn't attempt that with this recipe. There are recipes out there on the web that use cocoa powder, look up one of those if you really need to use cocoa powder. Also, for this recipe, I think it would be good with the butter, but I usually make it with just the chips and sweetened condensed milk, following the recipe instructions for microwaving as directed. I have to admit, I MUST add about a cup of walnuts or pecans, before scooping the melted mixture into the pan and chilling. My family and coworkers can't stay out of this!

Made these when I was in 4H. Thought I had lost the recipe. And yes, there are milk chocolate chocolate chips. They are not as bitter as semi sweet. This is a great recipe.
