Is the amount of rice in this recipe 2 cups of uncooked rice that has been cooked, or 2 cups of cooked rice. Two cups of already cooked rice seems like its not enought.

Hello! The amount of rice in the recipe is 2 cups of cooked rice, and if you watch the video, its plenty of rice for this casserole. If more rice is added, then more sauce would have to be added etc. Hope this is helpful!

Instead of Italian pork sausage, how would using regular Pork Sausage effect the disk?

Hello :). Regular pork sausage would be fine to use with this recipe, but we believe that overall it might produce a milder tasting dish. Hope this was helpful!

This sounds absolutely delicious, but I would do it in the oven, and in a pie crust, as someone suggested. I don't do a lot of on the stove cooking.

I've made this before it's excellent but, it tastes even better when you pour it into a pillsbury pie shell and bake it till it's golden brown. once you pour it into the pie shell and cover it, brush the top with egg yolk and make a few slits and i bake at 350 till golden brown. it's delious

We call for a large skillet in this recipe. Since everyone has a different size "large skillet" in their home, we would say that would be between 10 and 12-inches. Thank you for your question and enjoy!
