My family went crazy for this. Only thing different is that I used chicken ramen because that is what I had on hand. Next time I will use 2#s ground beef and 4 ramen.

I made this for supper last night, and I couldn't believe how easy it was to make. It contains everything you like about a cheeseburger in the form of a casserole. If you love cheeseburgers, you'll love this too. Absolutely delish!

Just finished this dish. Talk about quick and easy! I replaced the ketchup with chili sauce and the sweet relish for chopped dill pickles. Shot of hot sauce and it was a late lunch for a busy Sat.! Leftovers to work tomorrow. Thanks for sharing this.

I get it, Cheeseburger Ramen Casserole, ketchup, mustard, relish, cheese. But, it can be dressed up, by adding just about anything you would want on your cheeseburger, even green chili's or jalapenos. But, for those that seem to be concerned about MSG, get over it, simply don't put the supplied spice packet into the noodles, DUH! Add your own spices, or use a beef broth, or chicken broth instead of the water. Come on this is a recipe, not the Ten Commandments. I mean use your imagination a bit, change things up, it's a good recipe and start to your finished meal. Thanks for the recipe.

englanjm, and kramer144...look up on the Mayo Clinic report about MSG. There has NEVER been anything proven that MSG has any effects on the body. It is a flavour enhancer just like salt, but has gained a great deal of bad publicity just because of its name (Monosodium Glutamate). Japanese and Chinese people have been using it since the early 1900's with no apparent side effects. Please remember that it is natural in some foods we eat all the time, like tomatoes, potatoes, mushrooms, and Parmesan cheese. It does contain sodium, just as salt does, so lower amounts used the better for you, but it is not the DREADED spice that people have come to think of it as.

MSG is horrible. My doctor told me to stay away from it because it is dangerous. I ended up at his office with my throat hurting and swelling. I quit a Thai restaurant and a Chinese restaurant because the last time I ate there I could feel my body swelling as I ate.

Are you sure you are not allergic to something else like nuts or mushrooms?

I make something very similar, but don't use the relish, and use chili sauce instead of ketchup. I also add some minced garlic to it, and sometimes if I have it on hand, chopped cilantro right at the end. Nice snack type lunch.

Just before serving, try some chopped up or sliced iceberg lettuce on top. Cheese Burger soup calls for the lettuce mix in and cooked but on this recipe I'll forgo the mixing in before cooking.

Should the contents of the seasoning packets be included? There are several different brands of ramen. Do they all contain MSG?
