How about waking up to a smoothie that's bright and full of fresh fruit flavors? Our Strawberry Sunrise Smoothie is a morning favorite that includes the yummy combination of strawberries and bananas.
What You'll Need
- 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries, hulled
- 1 cup ice cubes
- 1 ripe banana, cut into chunks
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup strawberry yogurt
- 2 tablespoons honey
What to Do
- In a blender, combine all ingredients and blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.

I love to serve fruit based smoothies like this to my son as a quick and easy breakfast idea. They are a great way to use up odds and ends of leftover fruits that might be a little bruised or past their prime. This one could even be poured into popsicle molds and enjoyed as a healthy alternative to ice cream or those popsicles that are nothing but sugar and water. It would be a great healthier treat for the summer time!
