Frozen Food & Air Fryer Tips

What happens when you combine a trip to the freezer aisle with your air fryer? You end up with lots of quick & easy meals, hors d’oeuvres, and desserts in just minutes. They’re the perfect combo and we have some helpful tips for you.
- When cooking frozen food in an air fryer, reduce the suggested cooking temperature by 20 to 30% and cut the cooking time by 25%. (After that, check the food until the desired consistency and temperature is met.)
- Frozen items can go directly from the freezer to the air fryer.
- Always make sure that any packaging (trays, wraps and so on) that is being used in an air fryer is air fryer-approved.
- Preheat the air fryer before adding food.
- Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket. Be sure to leave enough room around the food for the air to circulate. If you need to, cook in batches.
- Place food in the basket in a single layer unless it’s bite-sized and breaded, then it can be stacked.
- To help foods crisp up in an air fryer, spray food with cooking spray before cooking.
- It’s recommended to shake the basket to allow foods to cook evenly halfway through the cooking time.
