I made this yesterday for the first time. It came out dry. The taste was good, but there was no juice just dry apples. What did I do wrong?

Hi there! We're sorry that this recipe did not turned out as you hoped it would. We would advise you to make sure that you are using the right kind of apple in this recipe. We recommend using gala, Macintosh or Roma apples. Enjoy!

We haven't tested baking this completely in the microwave, so we're not sure how long it would take to get the apples tender. The apples also will not brown in the microwave. If you decide to give it a try, we'd love to hear how it turns out!

I have a hard time following these recipes because I don't (and would never) own a microwave. It would help to have both methods in the directions.

Either just bake it longer until the apples are soft, or soften the apples FIRST on the stove top, by themselves. The softening in the microwave is just meant to cut down on time. Plenty other ways to soften apples.

Why? if it has sugar it is not going to be low in calories, might as well pass on this if your going to watch calories.

There are two easy ways to figure out the calories, and even all the nutrition information. Since this is only two servings, just look at the packages of the ingredients you're using for the calories for the amount your using, and the things that don't have that information (like the apples), google. Add up all the calories and divide by half. Quickest way. The other way, there are a million free websites that let you put in the ingredients for a recipe and then give you all the nutrition information. And if you have the "Lose it!" app, it's even easier, just scan the bar codes on the foods, even apples. Okay, that was three methods. )
