Easy Strawberry Trifle

The title doesn't lie, this Easy Strawberry Trifle really is so easy. There's nothing to it--just layer the ingredients and voila!

What You'll Need

  • 1 (7-ounce) package jellyrolls
  • 1 (3-1/2-ounce) package vanilla instant pudding mix
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 3 cups frozen whipped topping, thawed and divided
  • 2 cups sliced fresh strawberries (see Note)

What to Do

  1. Cut each jellyroll crosswise into 3 slices; arrange slices cut side down on bottom and around sides of a 21/2-quart soufflé or trifle dish. Fill in with remaining jellyroll slices.

  2. Prepare pudding mix according to package directions, using 11/2 cups milk; let stand 5 minutes. Fold in 1 cup whipped topping.

  3. Arrange half of sliced strawberries over jellyroll slices; top with pudding mixture. Arrange remaining sliced strawberries over pudding mixture; dollop remaining 2 cups whipped topping over  pudding mixture.

Notes

To prevent strawberries from becoming mushy, wash them just before using and hull them after washing.
