What You'll Need
- 2 cups vegetable oil
- 1 cup self-rising flour
- 3/4 cup canned pumpkin
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon grated orange rind
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

What to Do
- In a soup pot, heat oil over medium heat until hot.
- In a large bowl, combine remaining ingredients except confectioners' sugar; mix well.

Anyone know if these can be baked instead of fried??? Gave it a 3 because I cannot have fried, but really like all things pumpkin, and would love to make these if they can be baked!

Sorry, these Pumpkin Doughnut Holes can only be fried. We don't have a recipe for baked doughnut holes.

if they aren't sweet wouldn't make sense to add more sugar?

This is not sweet so make sure you roll the donut in the confectioner's sugar instead of just sprinkling it. I think I'll double the spices next time.

This is not sweet so make sure you have the confectioner's sugar. I will probably double the spice recipe next time for my flavor.

My first thinking is that there surely is an ingredient missing. I did not care for these at all. Needs to be sweeter. Fried up to doughy.

It would be very nice if you included food that diebetics could eat and make. I love pumkin pies but can't have anything with a lot of carbs in them or even powered sugar.
