Easy Skillet Lasagna

This recipe comes courtesy of Stephanie from Plain Chicken who says, "This skillet lasagna scores a perfect 10; it is simple, filling and absolutely delicious! You probably already have all the ingredients in your pantry to have this Italian feast on the table in less than 30 minutes."

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2/3 cup ricotta cheese
What To Do:

Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain. Set aside.

In a large skillet, brown sausage and ground beef. Drain fat and return meat to skillet. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add spaghetti sauce, basil. mozzarella cheese and ricotta to the meat. Stir to combine. Add noodles and stir to coat thoroughly. Simmer about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Top with additional cheese if desired.

I did add some onion and garlic powder for a little more flavor. Was super easy and quick. Had good flavor that was similar to lasagna.

Sounds very easy and good I plan to try

How's the weather in Plain Chicken this time of year?

It like a nice hamburger helper. I like to double the amounts, add oregano and onions and have leftovers.

How many servings are there?

Sounds like one of those keeper recipes that require almost no effort when things have been hectic for the better part of a week and you need no more stress at this point. Bravo!! Can't wait to try it.
