Made yesterday.6 to 7 hrs. on high as per dir. Way long to cook.Came out dry and hard as a rock.

Try on LOW setting, that should work fine.

It melted in my mouth. It was so tasty and now one of my favorite recipes for ribs.

Thank you dlita13 for taking the time to make the post below. NUTRITIONAL info...for those who continue to ask PLZ read her post & check out the websites listed. My momma never measured ingredients thus I have no recipes from my childhood. I remember enough of the main ingredients in a recipe to get one @Mr. Food. ...due to my daddys health, he was put on a very strict diet in 1999, the Drs provided us advice, referred us to a specialist in nutrition, and we read labels to no end prior to preparing a meal. Be well informed, plan your meals, especially if it is for health reasons...if you are counting calories for a diet; these folks also give you info on what you can/can not eat..."if in doubt, leave it out". ...Thank you Mr. Food for bringing me back fond memories of my momma and her love through your recipes.

Sooooo... good, and easy too!

This recipe is good and worth doing again

I found the recipe very easy to make, as I was pressed for time when I made it. I would like to see Nutrition information, though, as I am counting calories for a daily total.

For ALL of you who need the nutritional values - go to your search engine and type in "how to figure the nutritional values of a recipe". You will find numerous FREE sites to do it for you. Try ehow.com or recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-calculator.asp or recipenutrition.com. If you would learn the basics of ingredients, you wouldn't have to worry whether the info is supplied or not and what it may or may not do to your health - YOU WOULD KNOW WHAT YOU SHOULD ALREADY HAVE FOUND IMPORTANT ENOUGH TO LEARN!

I too like to cook on the grill but these were very good...fallin' off the bone tender! I used about 2.5 lb of country style ribs and cut the recipe in half. There was plenty of sauce. I sprinkled the ribs with kosher salt and let them sit at room temp about 15 minutes. Seared them on all sides on covered grill with a smoker. Put in slow cooker and covered with sauce. Only thing added was about 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce. Next time may add chili power, too. Used tongs to reposition ribs twice while cooking. Cooked on high 5 hr and then reduced to low for about an hour when ready to serve. Nice use for our abundant apple butter.

The recipe looks pretty good, EXCEPT I am a TRUE BLUE LIVE FIRE COOK. I have four different size grills and a smoker that burn charcoal and wood. I cook on a grill, I don't slave over one. I will play with this recipe on a GRILL and let you know the outcome.

Hopefully by this time you have found a way to cook these on the grill...Yummy, I love the taste of food cooked on charcoal & wood. Maybe you could use these ingredients as a rub, let them marinate in this overnight in a plastic bag, then try cooking them on the grill. The rest of the ingredients as I'm sure you know is for the taste & to slow cook help tenderizes. Good Luck. :)
