Cheesy Potatoes

What do you get when you combine crispy home fries with the cheesy goodness of mac 'n' cheese? Cheesy Potatoes of course! With this recipe for cheesy potatoes you can enjoy the best part of two all-time classics in one dish!
What You'll Need
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
- 2 (20-ounce) packages refrigerated diced potatoes
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 (10-3/4-ounce) can Cheddar cheese soup
- 1 cup milk
What to Do
- In a large skillet over high heat, melt butter. Add potatoes, onion, salt, and pepper and cook 15 to 20 minutes, or until browned, stirring occasionally.
- Add soup and milk; mix well. Continue cooking 5 minutes, or until potatoes are heated through.
Notes
- Serve as a side dish or for breakfast with a fried egg on top!

What was wrong with the Cheese soup how are you going to get the correct consistency with American cheese. Also how many cups does this recipe make. Looking for a Taste Of dish for a charity event that would feed 150 people.

so easy to make, i'm adding this recipe to my "Brides Good easy Recipes" cookbook I give to newly weds... when I make this I will substitute 8oz American cheese for cheese soup, since my tribe do not like the soup.....
