- COOK TIME

These sweet and saucy ribs have a kick, thanks to the ground red pepper. And they're fall-off-the bone tender!
What You'll Need
- 4 pounds country-style pork ribs, trimmed
- 2 teaspoons salt, divided
- 1/4 cup dried minced onion
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 (3.9-ounce) cup peach applesauce
- 1 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons orange marmalade
- 1 tablespoon steak sauce
- 1 teaspoon ground red pepper
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
What to Do
- Cut ribs apart; sprinkle 1 teaspoon salt evenly over ribs, and set aside.
- Stir together remaining 1 teaspoon salt, the minced onion, and remaining 8 ingredients in a medium bowl until blended. Pour half of mixture into a 4-quart slow cooker. Place ribs in slow cooker, and pour remaining mixture over ribs.
- Cover and cook on HIGH setting 6 hours or until meat almost falls off the bone.

Made this for a large group - used 12 lbs boneless country-style pork ribs and tripled recipe ingredients, except used 2 tsp red pepper FLAKES & 2 tsp garlic POWDER. Only found snack-sized peach applesauce, so used regular applesauce & mashed canned peaches to equal 3 cups sauce. Guest comments: AWESOME!

For a novice, what is a "slow cooker" ? Is it a "crock pot" ? Thanks.

A slow cooker is a generic name for a Crock Pot. It is the same kitchen small appliance. Thank you for your question!

Sauce does sound yummy but I'm all about keeping my Slow Cooker recipes simple and with all the really great Sauces out there, I see no need to go through all that this recipe calls for. That's just me folks, don't blast me because I want to keep it simple too. I work 50-65 hours a week :-/!

I saw peach applesauce at Wal Mart where I live. It was an off brand that they now carry.

Herb Crusted Lamb with Mint Sauce
Instead of cooking ham or prime rib for Easter, why not try something new this year? Our Herb-Crusted Lamb with Mint Sauce may look and sound fancy, but it's really easy to do. It's basically a rack of lamb that's coated with herbs and spices before it's roasted to perfection. Just before serving, it's finished off with a mint-wine reduction. The end result is an Easter-worthy main dish that'll impress everyone at the table.
